Joe Nannini
Director, Dual Credit Initiatives, University of Nevada, Reno
Joe Nannini is the Director of Dual Credit Initiatives at the University of Nevada, Reno. In his current role, he leads both the High School Dual Enrollment Program and the Collegiate Academy Concurrent Enrollment Program. Joe previously served as the Director of Clinical Experiences and Assessment at the College of Education and Human Development at UNR where he led all clinical practicum courses, student teaching, and Rural Education Initiatives for teacher education students. Joe also has led the
student-to-student Career Mentoring team at UNR who deliver frontline career education and coaching to over 22,000 students.
Before transitioning to higher education, Joe served as an English and Theatre teacher as well as an administrator in the Washoe County School District and the Diocese of Reno. Joe was twice voted Best Middle School Teacher of the Year, by the Reno News and Review. Joe earned his undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Nevada, Reno, a masters degree in teaching elementary education from Sierra Nevada College, and an Ed.S from the University of Nevada, Reno in Educational Leadership and Administration.
