Michelle Miller

Superintendent of South Fayette School District

Michelle Miller has served public education in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for 25 years with a concentrated focus on providing student-centered, equitable learning environments and opportunities for ALL learners.

Dr. Miller, a lifelong educator, attended Chatham College, Duquesne University, and the University of Pittsburgh to prepare her for a career in education. She began her teaching career as a Social Studies teacher. She has served as an assistant high school principal, as well as a middle school principal in the Pittsburgh region. With over a decade of school superintendent leadership experience in four school districts, Dr. Miller possesses a wealth of school leadership experiences as she currently is Superintendent of Schools in the South Fayette Township School District.
With an unwavering passion for learning, teaching, and leading, Dr. Miller has been an adjunct professor and a guest speaker in teacher and administrative preparation programs in the Pittsburgh region. Dr. Miller currently serves as Co-Director for the University of Pittsburgh’s Tri-State Study Council and is an active member of the Executive Board for the Forum for Western PA Superintendents. As a previous recipient of Tri-State’s Jean Winsand Distinguished Educator Award and the Pennsylvania Association of Middle Level Education’s Advocate for Public Education Award, Dr. Miller continues her focus on leading and learning.

When she is not with her school family, Dr. Miller embraces her time with her husband, Steve, and their seven-year-old son, Isaac.
