Joel Vargas, Vice President, Education, leads JFF’s strategy and initiatives to transform policies and practices, build capacities, and drive behavior change of existing education systems, institutions, and providers, including K-12 schools, postsecondary institutions, traditional certificate/ credential providers, and adjacent organizations, in service of equitable economic advancement for workers and learners. Since joining JFF in 2002, Joel has advanced state policies and local practices that promote improved high school and postsecondary outcomes for underserved students. He has helped policymakers and intermediary organizations develop state and federal policies that incorporate college and career experiences into high school.
