As a social impact enthusiast with over 15+ years of experience driving systems change within and across the education sector, Erica brings a strategic eye to braided funding across public-private ventures, social returns on investment, and leveraging private capital to generate public change.
She has raised capital and public support for a $24 million organization (a significant portion of which is reinvested in the broader ecosystem) that drives systems change and equitable resourcing to support 5.1 million public school students. Doing so, she worked with local, state, national, and global foundations and corporations to effectively deploy philanthropic investments for social returns that include reallocating public resources in a more effective manner. For example, she raised capital for and led the campaign to successfully pass a $3.6 billion bond for Dallas ISD, the largest school bond in the history of the State of Texas by 2x. Moreover, she has directly advised public sector entities to deploy $18BN in federal stimulus dollars and sucessfully secured three multi-million-dollar federal resourcing strategies aligned to the state's strategic plan.
