Emily Johns
2nd Grade Teacher at Duquesne City School District
Emily Johns is a second grade teacher at Duquesne K-8 School in Duquesne City School District. Emily received her undergraduate degree from Penn State in Environmental Resource Management and has previous teaching experience as an environmental educator. She received her Master of Education from Carlow University in Early Childhood Education with a Graduate Certificate in Dyslexia. Emily is particularly passionate about the Science of Reading, as well as promoting creativity and scientific thinking in the classroom. She loves helping her students make connections in their learning, whether across subjects in the classroom or to observations in their day-to-day experiences.
